The year was 2009 when Bob Mathias looked back on his 35 years of dedicated work and decided it was time to retire. He had enjoyed a very successful career, owning his own businesses in several different industries. An avid golfer, he looked forward to spending more time on the links and less time in the office. By all accounts, it was time to reap the rewards of his hard work, relax a bit and enjoy his golden years. But not long after Bob retired, a funny thing happened. “I realized that doing things part-time doesn’t work for me,” Bob says. “I was bored out of my mind.”
